It was recorded in 1979, at “Pumpkin Studios” in Oak Lawn, Illinois, and was produced by Dennis DeYoung, James Young, Tommy Shaw, Chuck Panozzo and John Panozzo. The album won “Grammy Award” for “Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group”.

On October 19, 1995, Donald Eugene Cherry died aged 58. He was a musician (trumpet), one of the pioneers in world fusion in the 60s and 70s. The first session was recorded in November 1958, at “Manhattan Towers” in New York City, and was recorded by Rudy Van Gelder. The second session was recorded in March 1959, at the “Van Gelder Studio” in Hackensack, NJ, and was recorded by Rudy Van Gelder. The album was produced by Alfred Lion.
