On June 6, 2005, “Parlaphone” label released “X&Y”, the the third Coldplay studio album. It was recorded January 2004 – January 2005, at “Air Lyndhurst Hall”, “Parr Street Studios”, “Sarm West Studios”, “The Town House”, “The Hit Factory”,  and was produced by Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, Will Champion , Ken Nelson and Danton Supple. The album’s cover art is a combination of colours and blocks, a representation of the Baudot code. “X&Y” was the best-selling album released in 2005 worldwide. On May 19, 1972, “DJM” label released “Honky Château”, the fifth Elton John studio album. It was recorded in January 1972, at “Château d’Hérouville” in Hérouville, France, and was produced by Gus Dudgeon. In 2003, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “Honky Château” at number 357 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. In 1995, the album was certified Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”.

On May 12, 1972, “Rolling Stones Records” label released “Exile on Main Street”,  the twelve Rolling Stones album. It was recorded October 1970 – March 1972, at “Olympic Studios” in London, in Nellcote in France, and “Sunset Sound Recorders” in Los Angeles, and was produced by Jimmy Miller. In 1998, “Q” magazine readers voted “Exile on Main Street” the 42nd greatest album of all time, and in 2000 the same magazine ranked it at number 3 in its list of the “100 Greatest British Albums Ever”. In 2003, the album was ranked 7th on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.

On May 8, 1970, “Apple” label released “Let It Be”, the twelve and final Beatles (The) studio album. It was recorded February 1968, January–February 1969, January; March–April 1970, at “Abbey Road Studios” and “Apple Studios” and “Twickenham Film Studios” in London, and was produced by Phil Spector and George Martin. The album was released at the same time with a motion picture of the same name. In 2012, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “Let it Be” at number 392 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. The album was certified Platinum in Australia by the “ARIA”, 3 x Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada” and 4 x Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”.
