On August 25, 1988, “Elektra” label released “…And Justice for All”, the fourth  Metallica studio album. It was recorded January – May 1988, at “One on One Recording Studios” in Los Angeles, and was produced by James Hetfield,  Kirk Hammett, Jason Newsted, Lars Ulrich and Flemming Rasmussen. “Kerrang!” magazine listed the album at number 42 on its list of the “100 Greatest Heavy Metal Albums of All Time” In 1990, the album single “One” won Metallica its first “Grammy Award” for “Best Metal Performance”.“…And Justice for All” became band’s best-selling album of the time; it was certified 3 x Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada”; Platinum in Finland by “IFPI”; Platinum in Germany by “BVMI”, and 8 x platinum in the US by the “RIIA”.

On August 24, 1981, “Rolling Stones” label released “Tattoo You”, the sixteen Rolling Stones (The) album. It was recorded November–December 1972, January–March 1975, January–March 1978, January–October 1979, October 1980 – June 1981, and was produced by The Glimmer Twins. In 1989, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “Tattoo You” at number 213 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. Peter Corriston, who was responsible for the album art direction and design, won a “Grammy Award” in the category of “Best Album Package”. The album was certified 4 x Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada” and 4 x Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”.

It was recorded October 1996 – April 1997, at “Abbey Road Studios”; “AIR Studios”; “Orinoco Studios” and “Master Rockin” in London; “Ridge Farm” in Surrey, and was produced by Owen Morris and Noel Gallagher. On the first day of release, “Be Here Now” sold over 424,000 copies, becoming the fastest-selling album in British chart history. The album was certified Platinum in Australia by the “ARIIA”; 2 x Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada”; 2 x Platinum in Japan by “RIAJ”; Platinum in Spain by “PROMUSICAE”; Platinum in Sweden by “GLF”; 6 x Platinum in UK by the “BPI”, and Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”.

It was recorded 2008 – 2010, and was produce by  Will Butler, Win Butler, Régine Chassagne, Richard Reed Perry, Sarah Neufeld, Jeremy Gara, Tim Knigsbury and Markus Dravs. “The Suburbs” won “Album of the Year” at the 2011 “Grammy Awards”, “Best International Album” at the 2011 “BRIT Awards”, “Album of the Year” at the 2011 “Juno Awards”, and the 2011 “Polaris Music Prize” for best Canadian album. The album was certified 2 x Platinum in Canada by “CRIA” and Platinum in UK by the “BPI”.

It was recorded April–May 1980, at “Compass Point Studios” in Nassau, Bahamas, and was produced by Robert John “Mutt” Lange. The album’s all-black cover was designed as a “sign of mourning” for band’s original singer Bon Scott, who died in 1980. “Back in Black” was huge commercial success; it has sold more than 50 million copies worldwide, becoming the the second-highest-selling album in history. “Back in Black” was certified Platinum in Argentina by “CAPIF”; 12 x Platinum in Australia by “ARIIA”; Platinum in Austria by “IFPI”; Diamond in Canada by “Music Canada”; 2 x Platinum in France by “SNEP”; 2 x Platinum in Germany by “BVMI”; Platinum in Italy by “FIMI”; 2 x Platinum in Switzerland by “IFPI”; Platinum in UK by “BPI” and 22 x Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”. It was recorded September 1993 – April 1994, and was produced by Don Was and The Glimmer Twins. “Voodoo Lounge” is the band’s first album without Bill Wyman on bass, and the last Rolling Stones album published on cassette.
