In May 1975, “Columbia” label released “Tale Spinnin’”, the sixth Weather Report album. It was recorded February-April 1975, at “Wally Heider Studios” in Los Angeles, and was produced by Joe Zawinul and Wayne Shorter.

In February 1982, “Columbia” label released the self-titled, twelfth Weather Report album. It was recorded in 1981, at “The Power Station” in New York City, and was produced by Joe Zawinul, Jaco Pastorius and Wayne Shorter.

On December 25, 2016, Alphonse Lee Mouzon died aged 68. He was musician (drums), composer, arranger, producer and actor, and the owner of Tenacious Records. On December 29, 2008, Frederick Dewayne “Freddie” Hubbard died aged 70. He was musician (trumpet) and composer, known primarily for playing in the bebop, hard bop and post bop styles. On October 25, 1994, “Reprise” label released “Turbulent Indigo”, the fifteenth Joni Mitchell album. It was recorded in 1994, and was produced by Joni Mitchell and Larry Klein. The album won “Grammy Award” for “Pop Album of the Year”.The album takes inspiration from artist Vincent van Gogh, both for Mitchell’s self-portrait on the cover, and the song “Turbulent Indigo”.

The album was recorded in 1978 – 1979, and was finalized few months before Charles Mingus death, and was his last music project. “Mingus” was recorded at “A&M Studios” in Hollywood and “Electric Lady Studios” in New York, and was produced by Joni Mitchell. Album artwork features Joni Mitchell paintings of Mingus.
