On September 23, 2025, Daniel Henry Edward Thompson aka Danny Thompson died aged 86. He was musician (upright bass, tea chest bass), songwriter and record producer, member of Alexis Korner’s Blues Incorporated, led a trio that included John McLaughlin, but was best known as member of Pentangle and long – time collaborator with John Martyn. Thomas Huntley
On March 7, 1988, Thomas Gordon Huntley died aged 62. He was musician (guitar, steel guitar), recorded and performed with many artists including The Black Stetson Boys, George Brown’s Alabama Hayriders, The Saddletramps, Dougie Dee and the Dee Men, Keith Christmas, Cliff Richard, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Clodagh Rodgers, Barbara Dickson, The Pretty Things and Fairport Convention, but was best known as member of Matthews Southern Comfort.
Gerry Rafferty: Night Owl
In June 1979 “United Artists” label released “Night Owl”, the third Gerry Rafferty album. It was recorded 1978–1979, at “Chipping Norton Recording Studios” and “Lansdowne Recording Studios”, and was produced by Hugh Murphy and Gerry Rafferty.

Gerry Rafferty: City To City
On January 20, 1978, “United Artists” released “City to City”, the second Gerry Rafferty studio album. It was recorded in 1977,at the “ Chipping Norton Recording Studios”, and was produced by Hugh Murphy. The album featured the song “Baker Street”, which reached 5 million plays on British radio, and became Rafferty’s best known song. “City to City” was certified Platinum the US by “RIAA”.
