On October 19, 1973, “Island” label released “Burnin’”, the sixth Wailers (The) album. It was recorded in April 1973, at the “Harry J. Studios”, in Kingston, Jamaica, and was produced by Chris Blackwell, Peter Tosh, Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer, Aston Barrett and Carlton Barrett . The album features “Get Up, Stand Up”, song that became one of the reggae music trademarks.  In 2003, the album was ranked at number 319 on “Rolling Stone” magazine’s list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.

It was recorded March 1979  – August 1980, at the “Power Station” in New York City, and was produced by Jon Landau, Bruce Springsteen and Steven Van Zandt.  “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “The River” at number 253 on its list of “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.

On October 16, 1968, “Reprise” label released “Electric Ladyland”, the third and the final Jimi Hendrix Experience studio album. It was recorded July – December 1967, and January – August 1968, and was produced by Jimi Hendrix. The album featured cover of the Bob Dylan song, “All Along the Watchtower,” which became the Experience’s best selling single ever. Magazine “Rolling Stone‍ ” ranked “Electric Ladyland” at number 54 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of all Time”.

In 2003, “52nd Street” was ranked by the magazine “Rolling Stone” number 352  on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of all Time”.

It was recorded February – August 1979, at the “Surrey Sound Studios”, and was produced by Nigel Gray, Sting, Andy Summers, and Stewart Copeland. In 1980, the title track brought the band their first “Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance”. In 2012, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “Reggata de Blanc” No. 372 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of all Time”.

On September 11, 1978, “Warner Bros” label released “One Nation Under a Groove”, the tenth Funkadelic studio album .  It was recorded at “United Sound Studio” in Detroit, Michigan, and at the “Monroe Civic Center” in Monroe, Louisiana, and was produced by George Clinton. “One Nation Under a Groove” was band’s most commercially successful album, and is regarded as one of the greatest funk album of all time. In 2003, the album was ranked at number 177 on “Rolling Stone” magazine’s list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.
