Neil Young Harvest

On February 14, 1972, “Reprise” label released “Harvest”, the fourth Neil Young album.  It was recorded January – September 1971, at “Quadrafonic Sound Studios” in Nashville; “Barking Town Hall” in London; “Royce Hall” at UCLA and “Broken Arrow Studio No. 2” in Woodside, and was produced by Neil Young, Elliot Mazer, Henry Lewy and  Jack Nitzsche. “Harvest” was the best-selling album of 1972 in the United States. in 1998, “Q” magazine readers voted “Harvest” the 64th greatest album of all time. Magazine “Rolling Stone” ranked “Harvest” at number 78 on its list of “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.

On February 13, 1970, “Vertigo” label released the self-titled, debut Black Sabbath studio album. It was recorded on October 16, at “Regent Sound Studios” in London, and was produced by Rodger Bain. In 1989, magazine “Kerrang!” ranked “Black Sabbath” at number 31 on its list of “100 Greatest Heavy Metal Albums of All Time”.In 2000, magazine “Q” included “Black Sabbath” in its list of the “Best Metal Albums of All Time”. In 2005, magazine “Rolling Stone” ranked the album at number 238 on its  list of “The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time”, and at number 44 in its list of the “100 Best Debut Albums of All Time”.

Bottom Line Club

On February 12, 1974, “The Bottom Line” club opened in New York City. Owned by Allan Pepper and Stanley Snadowsky, during the 70’s and 80’s, the club was a major space for small-scale music performances. The club stoped working in 2004. On February 12, 1992, “Apollo” label released “Selected Ambient Works 85–92”, the debut Richard D. James, released under the pseudonym of Aphex Twin. The album was recorded from 1985 to 1992, and was produced by Richard D. James. “Selected Ambient Works 85–92″ was appreciated for its minimalist and atmospheric nature and is considered by many music critics to be one of the greatest albums in ambient, IDM, and electronic music. It was followed by “Selected Ambient Works Volume II”.

Eat a Peach

On February 12, 1972, “Capricorn Records” label released “Eat a Peach”, the third  Allman Brothers Band (The) studio album. It was mix of studio recordings and recordings from the band’s 1971 “Fillmore East” performances. The live material was recorded on March 12–13 and June 27, 1971, at “Fillmore East” in New York, the studio material was recorded from September to December 1971, at  “Criteria Studios: in Miami. The album was produced by Tom Dowd. The double album was certified Platinum in US by the “RIAA”, and became the best selling release in the band’s discography.

Meat is Murder

On February 11, 1985, “Rough Trade” label released “Meat Is Murder”, the second Smiths (The) studio album. It was recorded in 1984, at the “Amazon Studios” in Liverpool and “Ridge Farm” in Surrey, and was produced by Morrissey, Johnny Marr, Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce. The album’s sleeve uses a 1967 photograph of Marine Cpl. Michael Wynn in the Vietnam War. In 2003, ”Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “Meat Is Murder”  at number 296 on its list of “The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.
