In February 1984, “IRS Records” label released “Declaration” the debut Alarm (The) studio album. It was recorded in November 1983, at “Abbey Road Studios” and “Good earth Studios” in London, and was produced by Alan Shacklock.

The Residents: Fingerprince

In February 1977, “Ralph” label released “Fingerprince”, the third Residents album. It was recorded 1974 – November 1976. Originally, “Fingerprince” was intended to be released as three-sided record named “Tourniquet of Roses”, but due to expense, the idea was abandoned and cut down to a regular two-sided album. In 1979, the third side was released separately as “Babyfingers”.

In February 1975, “Virgin” label released “Desperate Straights”, album by Slapp Happy and Henry Cow. It was recorded in November 1974, at “The Manor” in Oxfordshire, England, and was produced by  Dagmar Krause, Peter Blegvad, Anthony Moore, Tim Hodgkinson, Fred Frith, John Greaves, Geoff Leigh and Simon Heyworth.

In February 1974, “Warner Bros” label released the self-titled, fifth  Badfinger album. It was recorded June – November 1973, at “Olympic Studios” and “Air Studios” in London, and was produced by Chris Thomas.

John Martyn: Solid Air

In February 1973, “Island” label released “Solid Air”, the fourth John Martyn studio album. It was recorded November – December 1972, at “Island Studios”, “Basing Street”, “Sound Techinques” in London, and was produced by John Martyn and John Wood. The title track “Solid Air” was dedicated to Nick Drake. “Q” magazine ranked the album at number 67 on its list of the “Greatest British Album Ever”, and was was also included in their list of “Best Chill-Out Albums of All Time”.

In February 1972, “A&M” label released “Grave New World”, the fifth Strawbs album. It was recorded in November 1971, at “Morgan Studios”, “Island Studios” and “Landsdowne Studios”, and was produced by by Dave Cousins, Richard Hudson, John Ford, Blue Weaver, Tony Hooper, Gus Dudgeon and Tony Visconti. The album front cover was reproduction of William Blake’s Glad Day.

In January 1978, “Blue Sky” released “I’m Ready”, the thirteenth Muddy Waters studio album. It was recorded in October – November 1977, in Westport, Connecticut, and was produced by Johnny Winter. In 1978,the album earned Waters a “Grammy Award”.
