Meat Puppets: Up On The Sun

In March 1985, “SST” label released “Up on the Sun”, the third Meat Puppets album. It was recorded in January 1985, at “Total Access Studios” in Redondo Beach, California, and was produced by Spot.

In March 1983, “Jugoton” label released “Kad fazani lete” (When the Pheasants are Flying), the fourth Azra studio album. It was recorded in January 1983, at “Cream Studio” in Frankfurt, and was produced by Branimir Štulić.

The Residents: The Tunes of Two Cities

In March 1982, “Ralph” label released “The Tunes of Two Cities” the second part of the “Mole Trilogy” by The Residents (The) . It was recorded October 1980-January 1982, and was produced by The Cryptic Corporation. The album is known to be one of the first to use the E-mu Emulator, one of the earliest commercial digital samplers.

It was recorded December 1977-January 1978, at “Trident Studios” in London, and was produced by Alan Holdsworth, Eddie Jobson, John Wetton and Bill Bruford. In 2015, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked the album at number 35 in its list of the “Best Progressive Albums All Time”.
