The Who: Endless Fire

On October 30, 2006, “Polydor” label released “Endless Wire”, the eleventh Who (The) studio album. It was recorded December 2004 – May 2006, at “Eel Pie Oceanic Studios” in the Boathouse, Twickenham on the banks of the River Thames in Ranelagh and Pete Townshend’s home studio.  Most of the songs from the album were used in the rock musical adaptation of  “The Boy Who Heard Music” which debuted in July 2007 as part of “Vassar College’s Powerhouse Summer Theater” workshop series.

It was recorded 2001 – 2007, at “The Doghouse” in Los Angeles,”Samhain Sound” in Malibu, “O’Henry Studios” in Burbank, California, “Henson Recording Studios” in Hollywood, “Mooselodge” in Calabasas, California, “The Panhandle House” in  Denton, Texas, “Luminous Sound” in Dallas, Texas, and was produced by Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, Steuart Smith, Richard F.W. Davis, Scott Crago and Bill Szymczyk. In 2009, the album won “Grammy Award” for “Best Pop Instrumental Performance”. On October 30, 2000, “Island” label released “All That You Can’t Leave Behind”, the tenth U2 studio album.  It was recorded 1998 – 2000, at the” HQ”,” Windmill Lane Studios”,”Westland Studios” and“Totally Wired” in Dublin, and was produced by Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno. The album and its songs won seven “Grammy Awards”.  In 2012, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “All That You Can’t Leave Behind” at number 280 at its list of “The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.
