On December 1, 2017, “Interscope” and “Island” labels released “Songs of Experience”, the fourteenth U2 studio album. It was recorded 2014 – 2017, at “Electric Lady Studios” in New York City, “The Garage” in Topanaga, California, “Shangri-La”, “The Woodshed”, ”Waterloo Studios” and “Neptune Valley” in Los Angeles, “Strathmore House” in Killiney, Ireland, “Hanover Quay” and “Windmill Lane Studios” in  Dublin, “Uno Mas Studio” in Brentwood, Tennessee, “The Church Studios” in London, and was produced by Jacknife Leeand Ryan Tedder, Steve Lillywhite, Andy Barlow, Jolyon Thomas, Brent Kutzle, Paul Epworth, Danger Mouse, and Declan Gaffney. The album was certified Platinum in France by “SNEP”, and Platinum in Italy by “FIMI”.

On October 10, 1988, “Island” label released “Rattle and Hum”, the sixth U2 studio album. It was recorded 1987 – 1988, at “Sun Studio” in Memphis; “Point Depot”; “Danesmoat”, and “STS Studio” in Dublin; “A&M Studios” and  “Ocean Way”  in Los Angeles, and live in various locations, and was produced by Jimmy Iovine. The album was accompanied by a rockumentary film directed by Phil Joanou. “Rattle and Hum” was certified 7 x Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada”; Platinum in Germany by “BVMI”; Platinum in Netherlands; 2 x Platinum in Switzerland by “IFPI Switzerland”; 4 x Platinum in UK by “BPI”, and 5 x Platinum in the US by “RIIA”.

On February 28, 1983, “Island” label released “War”, the third U2 studio album. It was recorded May – August 1982, at “Windmill Lane Studios” in Dublin, and was produced by Steve Lillywhite, except song “The Refugee” produced by Bill Whelan. The album became the band’s first number-one album in the UK and became first gold-certified album in the US. In 2012, magazine “Rolling Stone” ranked “War” at number 223  on its list of  the “500 Greatest Albums of all Time”.

On November 19, 1991, “Island” label released “Achtung Baby”, the seventh U2 studio album.  It was recorded October 1990  – September 1991, at the “Hansa Ton Studios” in Berlin, “STS” in Dublin, “Elsinore” in Dalkey and “Windmill Lane Studios” in Dublin, and was produced by Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois. The album has sold  over 18 million copies worldwide and won “Grammy” in 1993 for “Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal”.
