On December 7, 1984, “Atlantic” label released “Agent Provocateur”, the fifth Foreigner studio album. It was recorded in 1984, and was produced by Mick Jones and Alex Sadkin. The album was certified Platinum in Germany by “BVMI”; Platinum in Switzerland by “IFPI Switzerland”; Platinum in UK by “BPI”, and 3 x Platinum in the U.S. by the “RIAA”.

On October 2, 1981, “A&M” label released “Ghost in the Machine” the fourth Police (The) studio album. It was recorded January – September 1981, at “AIR Studios” in Montserrat and “Le Studio” in Quebec, and was produced by Sting, Andy Summers, Stewart Copeland and Hugh Padgham. “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “Ghost in the Machine” at number 323 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. The album’s cover was ranked at No. 45 in “VH1’s” list of the “50 Greatest Album Covers”.

On September 29, 1977, “Family Productions” label released “The Stranger” the fifth Billy Joel studio album. It was recorded July – August 1977, at “A&R Recording, Inc.” in New York City, and was produced by Phil Ramone. “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “The Stranger” at number 70 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.  The album became Joel’s critical and commercial breakthrough, and remains his best-selling non-compilation album to date. The album was certified 5 x Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada”; Platinum in Hong Kong by “IFPI Hong Kong”; Platinum in New Zealand by “RMNZ”, and Diamond in the US by “RIIA”.

It was recorded March 2007 – May 2008, at “Sound City Studios”in Los Angeles; “Shangri La Studios” in Malibu, California; Metallica’s HQ in San Rafael, California, and was produced by Rick Rubin. On the 51st “Grammy Awards” in 2009, Metallica won “Grammy Awards” for “Best Metal Performance” for “My Apocalypse”. Producer Rick Rubin received the award for “Producer of the Year, Non-Classical”, and art directors Bruce Duckworth, David Turner & Sarah Moffat were awarded “Best Recording Package”.” Death Magnetic” was awarded “Best Album in the 2009” at Kerrang! Awards. On June 3, 1977, “Island” label released “Exodus”, the ninth Bob Marley and the Wailers studio album. It was recorded 1976 – 1977, at “Harry J. Studio” in Kingston, and “Island Studios” in London, and was produced by  Bob Marley and the Wailers. In 1999,  “Time”  magazine named “Exodus” the best album of the 20th century. In 2001, the TV network “VH1” named it the 26th greatest album of all time. In 2003, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked the album at number 169 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of all Time”.
