On May 11, 1981, “Island” label released “Nightclubbing”, the fifth Grace Jones studio album. It was recorded 1980 – 1981. at “Compass Point Studios” in the Bahamas, and was produced by Alex Sadkin and Chris Blackwell.

Rebop Kwaku Baah

On January 12, 1983, Anthony “Rebop” Kwaku Baah died aged 38. He was musician (percussion), recorded and performed with Can, Wynder K. Frog, Randy Weston, Jim Capaldi, Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, Free, Third World, Vivian Stanshall, Billy Cobham, Steve Winwood, The Unknown Cases, and Wally Badarou, but was best known as a member of the band Traffic. As a leader he released four albums.

In March 1987, “Polydor” label released “Running in the Family”, the seventh Level 42 studio album. It was recorded in 1986, at “Sarm West” and “Maison Rouge”, and was produced by Wally Badarou, Mark King, Phil Gould, Boon Gould, Wally Badarou, Mike Lindup, Gary Barnacle and Krys Mach. The album was certified 2 x Platinum in the UK by “BPI”.
