In June 1973, “Columbia” label released the self-titled, debut Roger McGuinn solo album. It was recorded in 1973, at “Wally Heider Studios” in Los Angeles, and was produced by Roger McGuinn.

It was recorded 1999–2000, at “Third Man Studio” in Detroit, Michigan, and was produced by Jack White. The album name comes from De Stijl (“the style” in English), a Dutch art movement.
