Edward Lodewijk Van Halen

On October 6, 2020, Edward Lodewijk Van Halen died aged 65. He was a musician (guitar), songwriter, producer, and inventor, known for his work with Michael Jackson, Brian May, Sammy Hagar, and LL Cool J, but best known as a founding member, songwriter, and guitarist of band Van Halen. He was voted number one in the “Guitar World” magazine reader’s poll for “The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time”.

Pat Boone: In a Metal Mood: No More Mr. Nice Guy

On January 28, 1997, “Hip-O” label released “In a Metal Mood: No More Mr. Nice Guy”, album by Pat Boone. It was recorded in 1996, at “Ocean Way Studios” in Hollywood, and was produced by Michael Lloyd and Jeffrey Weber.

Van Halen: Balance

On January 24, 1995, “Warner Bros” label released “Balance”, the tenth Van Halen studio album. It was recorded May – September, 1994, at “5150 Studios” in Studio City, “Little Mountain Sound Studios” in  Vancouver, and was produced by Bruce Fairbairn. In 2004, the album was certified 3 x Platinum, in US by the “RIAA”.

On January 9, 1984, “Warner Bros” label released 1984 (stylized as MCMLXXXIV on the album’s cover), sixth Van Halen studio album. It was recorded in 1983, at “5150 Studios” in Studio City, California, and was produced by Ted Templeman. The album cover art was by Margo Nahas.  The album was certified 5 x Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada’, Platinum in Germany by “BVMI”, and Diamond in US by the “RIIA”.

It was recorded March 1990 – April 1991, at “5150 Studios” and “Studio City”, in California, and was produced by Andy Johns, Ted Templeman, Eddie Van Halen, Alex Van Halen, Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony. The album was certified Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada” and 3 x Platinum in US by the “RIIA”.

Andy Johns

On April 7, 2013, Jeremy Andrew “Andy” Johns died aged 61.
