On March 6, 2009, David Williams died aged 58. He was musician (guitar, bass guitar), vocalist, song writer and music producer, known as a prominent and most in demand session guitarist. He worked with The Dells, The Temptations, Madonna, Michael Jackson,  Chanson, The Pointer Sisters, Peter Allen, Aretha Franklin, The Four Tops, Julio Iglesias, George Benson, The Manhattan Transfer, Michael McDonald, Melissa Manchester, Stevie Nicks, Rod Stewart, Dionne Warwick, Shalamar, Go West, ABC, Boz Scaggs, Karen Carpenter, Mariah Carey, Julian Lennon, Bryan Ferry, Paul McCartney, Johnny Mathis, Del Shannon, Chaka Khan, Paul Hardcastle, Kenny Loggins, Steve Perry, Lionel Richie, Jessica Simpson, Diana Ross, the Crusaders, Andraé Crouch, Eddie Murphy, Herbie Hancock, Peter Cetera, Whitney Houston and Monkey Business. As leader he released two albums.

On October 6, 2020.

On October 6, 2020, Edward Lodewijk Van Halen died aged 65. He was a musician (guitar), songwriter, producer, and inventor, known for his work with Michael Jackson, Brian May, Sammy Hagar, and LL Cool J, but best known as a founding member, songwriter, and guitarist of band Van Halen. He was voted number one in the “Guitar World” magazine reader’s poll for “The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time”.

On August 5, 1992.

On August 5, 1992, Jeffrey Thomas Porcaro died aged 38. He was a songwriter, musician (drums), and record producer, best known as the drummer with Toto. On September 4, 2019.

On September 4, 2019, Dan Warner died aged 49. He was guitarist, member of Barry Gibb’s band, but best known for his work with many music stars, including Julio Iglesias, Michael Jackson, Juanes, Marc Anthony, Ricky Martin, Sebastian Yatra, Lil Wayne, Alejandro Sanz and Gloria Estefan. Warner was member of “Recording Academy Florida Chapter Board”, and “Latin Grammy Award” winner in 2009.

On June 15, 1980.

On June 15, 1980, “Columbia” label released “Old Crest on a New Wave”, the ninth Dave Mason studio album. It was recorded in 1980, at “Hollywood Sound Recorders” in Hollywood, and was produced by Dave Mason and Joe Wissert.

On October 25, 2015, Marlo Henderson died aged 64. He was guitarist, saxophonist, song-writer and producer, played and recorded with many famous musicians including  Paul McCartney, Ray Charles, Michael Jackson, Buddy Miles, Evelyn “Champagne” King, Minnie Riperton, Stevie Wonder, Wonderlove, The Emotions, Andre Lewis and Maxayn.

On September 11, 2014.

On September 11, 2014, Bob Crewe died aged 83. He was songwriter, singer, manager, and music producer, owner of the record label “DynoVoice Records”. He recorded by the name Bob Crewe Generation, and had hit recordings with  the Rays, Diane Renay, Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, Freddy Cannon, Lesley Gore, Oliver, Michael Jackson, Bobby Darin, Roberta Flack, Peabo Bryson, Patti LaBelle and Barry Manilow.

On February 23, 2017, Leon Ware died aged 77. Being songwriter and composer, he released eleven albums as a performer, but he was best known for producing and writing music for other musicians and bands including: The Isley Brothers,  Donny Hathaway, The Miracles, Teena Marie, Jeffrey Osborne, Loose Ends, James Ingram, Melissa Manchester, Krystol, Bobby Womack, Lulu,  Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Maxwell, Minnie Riperton and Marvin Gaye.
