David Bowie: The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And Spiders From Mars

On June 16, 1972, “RCA” label released “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars”, the fifth David Bowie studio album. It was recorded July – November 1971, February 1972, at “Trident Studios” in London, and was produced by Ken Scott and David Bowie. Magazine “Rolling Stone” placed “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars” at number 40 on its list of “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.

In February 1980, “Bronze” label released “Conquest”, the 13th Uriah Heep album. It was recorded in 1979, at “The Roundhouse Recording Studios” in London, and Gery Bron, John Gallen and Ken Hensley.

Trevor Bolder

On May 21, 2013, Trevor Bolder died aged 62. He was musician (bass, trumpet), singer, songwriter and producer, who has recorded and performed with Cybernauts, Dana Gillespie, Ken Hensley, Mick Ronson, Uriah Heep and Wishbone Ash, but he was best known for his work with David Bowie, especially as member of the legendary Spiders from Mars band.

On April 13, 1973, “RCA” label released “Aladdin Sane”, the sixth David Bowie album. It was recorded 6 October 1972, 3 December 1972 – 24 January 1973, at “Trident Studios”, London and “RCA Studios” in New York and Nashville, and was produced by Ken Scott and David Bowie. “Rolling Stones” magazine ranked  “Aladdin Sane” at number 277 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of all Time”. “Pitchfork Media” ranked the album at number 77 on its list of the top “100 Albums of the 1970s”.
