On November 17, 1971, “Warner Bros” released “A Nod’s as Good as a Wink… to a Blind Horse”, the third Faces album. It was recorded March – September 1971, at the “Olympic Studios” in London, and was produced by Rod Stewart, Ronnie Lane, Ronnie Wood, Ian McLagan, Kenny Jones and Glyn Johns.

On November 8, 1971, “Atlantic” label released the untitled, fourth Led Zeppelin studio album, known as “Led Zeppelin IV”.  It was recorded December 1970 – March 1971 at the  Victorian  House  “Headley Grange”, in Hampshire, and was produced by Jimmy Page. The album was certified 23 x Platinum in US by the “RIAA” and with more than 37 million sold copies worldwide, it became one of the best selling music albums ever. Magazine “Rolling Stone” ranked “Led Zeppelin IV” on number 69 on it’s list of “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.

American IV

On November 4, 2002, “American Recordings” released “American IV: The Man Comes Around”, the 87th Johnny Cash album and the fourth one in the “American Recordings Series”. This was the last album released before his death in 2003. “American IV: The Man Comes Around” was recorded in 2002 at the “American Recording Studios”, and was produced by Rick Rubin and John Carter Cash. The album won “Album of the Year” award at the 2003 “CMA Awards” and was awarded platinum certification 2003 by the “R.I.A.A”. In 2004, Johnny Cash won “Grammy Award” for “Best Country Male Vocal Performance” for “Give My Love To Rose,” and the music video for “Hurt” won “Grammy Award” for “Best Short Form Video”.

The album has been certified 3 x Platinum in US by “RIAA”.

It was recorded January – August 1969, at several locations in the United Kingdom and North America, and was produced by Jimmy Page. In 1989,  “Spin”  magazine ranked the album at number 5 on its list of “The 25 Greatest Albums of All Time”; in 2000, “Q” magazine ranked “Led Zeppelin II” at number 37 on its list of the “100 Greatest British Albums Ever”; in 2003, Rolling Stone” magazine the album at number 75 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time “Led Zeppelin II” was the band’s first album to reach number one in the UK and the US. “Led Zeppelin II” was ranked 4 x Platinum in Australia by “ARIA”; 9 x Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada”; Platinum in Germany by “BVMI”; 4 x Platinum in UK by “BPI”, and 12× Platinum in the US by the “RIAA”.

On August 12, 1991, “Elektra” label released the self-titled, fifth Metallica album (known as “The Black Album”). It was recorded October 1990 – June 1991, at “One on One Recording Studios” and was produced by Bob Rock, James Hetfield, and Lars Ulrich. The album received worldwide critical acclaim and became the band’s best selling album ever. As of November 2014, the album has spent 328 weeks on the “Billboard” album chart, making it one of the ten longest-running discs of all time. The album was certified 16× Platinum in the USA by the “RIAA”. On December 13, 2012, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked the album at number 225 on its list of “The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.

It was recorded January 1986 – January 1987, at “STS Studios”, “Danesmoate House”, “Windmill Lane Studios”, and was produced by Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno. In 1988, “The Joshua Tree” won “Grammy Awards”  for  “Album of the Year” and “Best Rock Performance” by a “Duo or Group with Vocal”.  It is U2 best sold album with more than 25 million copies sold worldwide.  In 1995, the album was certified 10× Platinum in US by “RIAA”, and  album subsequently received the “Diamond” certificate. In Canada it was certified Diamond by “Canadian Recording Industry Association”, In UK it was certified 8 x Platinum by “BPI”, with an additional silver certification for the 20th anniversary edition. In 2012, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked it at number 27 on its list of “The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.
