Miles Davis-In a Silent Way

On July 30, 1969, “Columbia” label released “In a Silent Way”, the 44th Miles Davis album. It was recorded in one session on February 18, 1969, at “CBS 30th Street Studio” in New York City, and was produced by Teo Macero. The album is regarded by fans and critics as one of Davis’s greatest and most influential works.

On July 27, 1979, “Albert” label released “Highway to Hell”, the sixth Australian and the fifth international AC/DC album. It was recorded December 1978, at “Albert Studios” in Sydney; January – February 1979, at “Criteria Studios” in Miami, Florida; March – April 1979, at “Roundhouse Studios” in London, and was produced by Robert John “Mutt” Lange. In 2003, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “Highway to Hell” at number 200 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.

It was recorded February – April 1971, at “Island Studios” in London, and was produced by Rodger Bain. In 2003, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “Master of Reality” at number 298 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. In 2001, the album was certified 2 x Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”.

On July 19, 1974, “Reprise” label released “On the Beach”, the fifth Neil Young studio album. It was recorded February – April 1974, at “Arrow Ranch” in Woodside, California, and “Sunset Sound Recorders” in Hollywood, and was produced by Neil Young, David Briggs, Mark Harman and Al Schmitt. “On the Beach” was ranked at number 40 in Bob Mersereau’s book “The Top 100 Canadian Albums”.

In 2003, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked the album at number 182 on its list of “The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. The album was certified 5 x Platinum in the US by the “RIAA”.
