On October 14, 1969, “RCA Victor” label released “From Memphis to Vegas / From Vegas to Memphis”, the eleventh studio and the second live Elvis Presley album. It was released as a double album: the first album, titled In “Person at the International Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada”, contains the live recordings of Presley’s hits recorded at the International Hotel in Winchester, Nevada; the second album, titled “Back in Memphis”, contains entirely new material recorded at “American Sound Studio” in Memphis. The live album was produced by Felton Jarvis, and the studio album was produced by Chips Moman.

It was recorded May – August 1977, at “Musicland Studios” in Munich, and was produced by Jeff Lynne.  The album was certified Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada”; Platinum in UK by “BPI”, and Platinum in the US by “RIIA”.

On May 12, 1972, “Rolling Stones Records” label released “Exile on Main Street”,  the twelve Rolling Stones album. It was recorded October 1970 – March 1972, at “Olympic Studios” in London, in Nellcote in France, and “Sunset Sound Recorders” in Los Angeles, and was produced by Jimmy Miller. In 1998, “Q” magazine readers voted “Exile on Main Street” the 42nd greatest album of all time, and in 2000 the same magazine ranked it at number 3 in its list of the “100 Greatest British Albums Ever”. In 2003, the album was ranked 7th on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.

On October 5, 1973, “DJM” label released “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”, the seventh Elton John’s studio album.  It was recorded in May 1973, at the “Château d’Hérouville, in France, and was produced by Gus Dudgeon. “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” is ranked at no. 91 on “Rolling Stone’s” magazine list of “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. In 2003, the album was inducted in to the “Grammy Hall of Fame”.
