George Harrison: Brainwashed

On November 18, 2002, “Dark Horse” label released “Brainwashed”, the twelfth and final George Harrison studio album. It was recorded 1988 – 2002, at “FPSHOT” in Oxfordshire, and on other various locations, and was produced by George Harrison, Jeff Lynne and Dhani Harrison. The album was released almost a year after Harrison death, and the album was completed by Harrison’s son Dhani and longtime friend and collaborator Jeff Lynne.

It was recorded March–April 2000, at “Great Linford Manor” in Milton Keynes, UK, and was produced by Rob Ellis, Mick Harvey and PJ Harvey. “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked the album at number 8 on its list of “The 50 Essential “Women in Rock” Albums”. In 2002, “Q” magazine named “Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea” the “Greatest Album of All-Time by a Female Artist”.In 2006, “Time” magazine choose the album as one of the “100 Best Albums of All Time”. The album was certified Platinum in Australia by “ARIA”, and Platinum in UK by “BPI”.

Rick Wright

On September 15, 2008, Richard William “Rick” Wright died aged 65. He  was musician (keyboards), composer, singer and songwriter, best known as founding member, keyboardist and vocalist of Pink Floyd. He recorded and performed on all Pink Floyd’s albums except on “The Final Cut”.
