On April 21, 1987, “MCA” label released “Let Me Up (I’ve Had Enough)”, the seventh Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers studio album.  It was recorded 1986–1987, at “Sound City” and “M.C. Studios” in Los Angeles, and was produced by Tom Petty and Mike Campbell.

On March 26, 1985, “MCA” label released “Southern Accents”, the sixthTom Petty and the Heartbreakers album. It was recorded 1983–1985, at “Gone Gator One”, “Sound City”, “Village Recorder” and “Sunset Sound” in Los Angeles and “Church Studio” in London, and was produced by Tom Petty, Jimmy Iovine, Mike Campbell, David A. Stewart and Robbie Robertson, The album cover features an 1865 painting by Winslow Homer titled “The Veteran in a New Field”

On January 31, 1989, “Virgin” label released posthumously “Mystery Girl”, the twenty – second Roy Orbison album. It was recorded July 1987 – November 1988, and was produced by Roy Orbison, Mike Campbell, Jeff Lynne, T Bone Burnett, Barbara Orbison and  Bono. On December 6, 1988, Orbison died from a heart attack aged 52.

On October 19, 1979, “Backstreet Records” released “Damn the  Torpedoes”, the third Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers album.  It was recorded 1978 -1979, at the “Sound City” and “Van Nuys Cherokee Studios” in Hollywood, and was produced by Jimmy Iovine and Tom Petty. In 2003, The album was ranked at number 313 on “Rolling Stone’s” magazine list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.

On October 17, 2000, “American Recordings” label released “American III: Solitary Man”, the 85th Johnny Cash album overall and the third album in the “American series”. The album was produced by John Carter Cash and Rick Rubin. “American III: Solitary Man” won “Grammy” award for “Best Male Country Vocal Performance” for Cash’s version of the Neil Diamond classic “Solitary Man”.
