The Police: Outlandos d’Amour

On November 2, 1978, “A&M” label released “Outlandos d’Amour”, the debut Police album.  It was recorded January – June 1978, at the “Surrey Sound Studios”, and was produced by Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland. In 2012, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked the album  at number 428 on its list of “500 Greatest Albums of all Time”

On October 13, 1987, “A&M” label released“…Nothing Like the Sun”, the second Sting studio album. It was recorded March–August, 1987,at the “Air Studios”, in Montserrat, and was  produced by Sting, Hugh Padgham, Bryan Loren and Neil Dorfsman.

The Police: Reggata de Blanc

On October 5, 1979, “A&M” label released “Reggatta de Blanc”, the second Police (The) studio album. It was recorded February – August 1979, at the “Surrey Sound Studios”, and was produced by Nigel Gray, Sting, Andy Summers, and Stewart Copeland. In 1980, the title track brought the band their first “Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance”. In 2012, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “Reggata de Blanc” No. 372 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of all Time”.

Michael Kamen

On November 18, 2003, Michael Kamen died aged 55. He was composer and orchestral arranger, has worked with many famous musicians and bands including Pink Floyd, Roger Daltrey, Tom Petty, David Bowie, Eurythmics, Eric Clapton, Rush, Metallica, Herbie Hancock, The Cranberries, Bryan Adams, Jim Croce, Aerosmith, Sting, Queen and Kate Bush.

Bruce Springsteen: A MusiCares Tribute to Bruce Springsteen

On March 25, 2014, “Columbia” label released “A MusiCares Tribute to Bruce Springsteen”, a concert video filmed in 2013 at the “MusiCares Person of the Year” ceremony, to honor and pay tribute to Bruce Springsteen for his artistic achievement in the music industry and dedication to philanthropy. The ceremony was hosted by Jon Stewart and features performances by musicians who have long been fans and admirers of Springsteen’s body of work. Springsteen and the E Street Band concluded the ceremony with their own performance. The video is directed by Leon Knoles.
