Apoptygma Berzerk: Soli Deo Gloria

On December 10, 1993, “Metropolis” label released “Soli Deo Gloria”, the debut Apoptygma Berzerk studio album. It was recorded in 1993, at “Wintergarden Studio in Fredrikstad, Norway, “Apoptygma Sound Lab”, and was produced by Erik Wøllo, and Stephan Grotheks.

Whitey Glan

On November 7, 2017, Pentti “Whitey” Glan died aged 71. He was musician (drums), member of the band The Rogues (later Mandala), performed and recorded with Bette Midler, John Kay, American Flyer, Bush, Klaatu, Anne Murray, Domenic Trolano, David Wilcox, Downchild Blues Band, Alice Cooper, and Lou Reed.

Gary Lucas: Street Of Lost Brothers

On October 24, 2000, “Tzadik” label released “Street of Lost Brothers”, album by Gary Lucas. It was recorded in 2000, at “LoHo Studios”, National Taiwan University, in Taipei, “Sound Dimensions”, and was produced by Gary Lucas.

Don Cherry

On October 19, 1995, Donald Eugene Cherry died aged 58. He was a musician (trumpet), one of the pioneers in world fusion in the 60s and 70s. On September 6, 2019, “Caroline International” and “Loma Vista Recordings” labels, released “Free”, the eighteenth Iggy Pop studio album. It was recorded in 2019, at “Elite Music Studios”, “Neutral Sound Studios”, “On Two Pass It Studio”, “Red Bird Studio”, “The Bunker Studio”, and was produced by Leon Thomas and Noveller.

Robert Kulick

On May 28, 2020, Robert J. Kulick died aged 70. He was musician (guitar) and producer, best known for his studio work with Kiss,  Kulick has also worked with Lou Reed, Diana Ross, Paul Stanley,  W.A.S.P.,  Neverland Express, Meat Loaf, Michael Bolton, Doro, Balance, Motörhead, Tim Curry, Alice Cooper, Mark Farner, Janis Ian, Was (Not Was), Kris Hadlock, Spys, Blackthorne, David Glen Eisley, Skull, Michael Wendroff and Random Blues Band. As a leader Kulick recorded one album.

Japan: Quiet Life

On December 20, 1979, “Hansa” label released (Japan, Canada and Germany) “Quiet Life”, the third Japan studio album. It was recorded in June 1979, at “Air Studios” in London, and was produced by John Punter, Simon Napier-Bell, David Sylvian, Rob Dean, Richard Barbieri, Mick Karn and Steve Jansen.

Lou Reed & Metallica: Lulu

On October 31, 2011, “Warner Bros” and “Vertigo” labels released “Lulu”, a collaboration album between Lou Reed and Metallica. It was recorded April – June 2011, at Metallica’s HQ in San Rafael, CA, and was produced by Greg Fidelman, Lou Reed, Hal Willner, James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, Robert Trujillo and Lars Ulrich.The album is based on the two “Lulu Plays” by the German playwright Frank Wedekind.
