Mono: Hymn To The Immortal Wind

On March 2009, “Temporary Residence Limited” label released “Hymn to the Immortal Wind” the fifth Mono studio album. It was recorded and mixed in June and November 2008, at the “Electrical Audio Recording Studios” in Chicago,and was produced by Steve Albini.

Freddie Hubbard

On December 29, 2008, Frederick Dewayne “Freddie” Hubbard died aged 70. He was musician (trumpet) and composer, known primarily for playing in the bebop, hard bop and post bop styles. Rick Wright

On September 15, 2008, Richard William “Rick” Wright died aged 65. He  was musician (keyboards), composer, singer and songwriter, best known as founding member, keyboardist and vocalist of Pink Floyd. He recorded and performed on all Pink Floyd’s albums except on “The Final Cut”.

On September 12, 2008, “Warner Bros” label released “Death Magnetic”, the ninth Metallica studio album. It was recorded March 2007 – May 2008, at “Sound City Studios”in Los Angeles; “Shangri La Studios” in Malibu, California; Metallica’s HQ in San Rafael, California, and was produced by Rick Rubin. On the 51st “Grammy Awards” in 2009, Metallica won “Grammy Awards” for “Best Metal Performance” for “My Apocalypse”. Producer Rick Rubin received the award for “Producer of the Year, Non-Classical”, and art directors Bruce Duckworth, David Turner & Sarah Moffat were awarded “Best Recording Package”.” Death Magnetic” was awarded “Best Album in the 2009” at Kerrang! Awards.
