On August 10, 2004, “Beggars Banquet” released “Bubblegum”, the sixth Mark Lanegan album. It was recorded 2003 – 2004, was produced by Mark Lanegan,  Chris Goss, Alain Johannes, and was released under the name “Mark Lanegan Band”.

On August 5, 2003, “Epic” label released “Jeff”, the ninth Jeff Beck studio album. It was recorded at “FRS”, “Metropolis Recording Studios”, “Apollo Control” and “BFD Studios” in London, and was produced by Jeff Beck, Andy Wright, Apollo 440,Me One and Dean Garcia. The album song “Plan B” won the award for “Best Rock Instrumental Performance” at the 2004 “Grammy Awards”.

On August 5, 1969, “Elektra” label released the self-titled, debut  Stooges album. It was recorded in April 1969; at “The Hit Factory” in New York City and was produced by John Cale. In 2003, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked the album at number 185 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”, and ranked the song “1969” in the list of the “100 Greatest Guitar Songs of All Time”. In 2005, “Q” magazine ranked the song “I Wanna Be Your Dog” at number 13 in its list of the “100 Greatest Guitar Tracks”.

In 2003, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “Highway to Hell” at number 200 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.

On July 25, 1989, “Capitol” label released “Paul’s Boutique”, the second Beastie Boys studio album. It was recorded 1988–1989, at “Mario C’s” in Los Angeles, “The Opium Den” and “The Record Plant” in New York City, and was produced by Michael Diamond, Adam Yauch, Adam Horovitz, Dust Brothers and Mario Caldato, Jr. In 2003, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “Paul’s Boutique” at number 156 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. Critical recognition made “Paul’s Boutique” a landmark album in hip hop music. In 1999, the album was certified 2 x Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”.

On July 25, 1980, “Albert / Atlantic” labels released “Back in Black”, the seventh  AC/DC studio album. It was recorded April–May 1980, at “Compass Point Studios” in Nassau, Bahamas, and was produced by Robert John “Mutt” Lange. The album’s all-black cover was designed as a “sign of mourning” for band’s original singer Bon Scott, who died in 1980. “Back in Black” was huge commercial success; it has sold more than 50 million copies worldwide, becoming the the second-highest-selling album in history. “Back in Black” was certified Platinum in Argentina by “CAPIF”; 12 x Platinum in Australia by “ARIIA”; Platinum in Austria by “IFPI”; Diamond in Canada by “Music Canada”; 2 x Platinum in France by “SNEP”; 2 x Platinum in Germany by “BVMI”; Platinum in Italy by “FIMI”; 2 x Platinum in Switzerland by “IFPI”; Platinum in UK by “BPI” and 22 x Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”. On July 22, 1977, “Stiff” label released “My Aim Is True”, the debut Elvis Costello  album. It was recorded 1976 – 1977, at “Pathway Studios” in London, and was produced by Nick Lowe. In 2003, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “My Aim Is True” at number 168 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”; the same year, the TV network “VH1” named “My Aim Is True” the 80th greatest album of all time. In 2007, the album was inducted into the “Grammy Hall of Fame”.
