On May 19, 1972, “Deram” label released “Waterloo Lily”, the fourth Caravan studio album. It was recorded in November 1971, at “Tollington Park Studios” in London, and was produced by David Hitchcock. The album cover detail is from “The Tavern Scene” from A Rake’s Progress by William Hogarth.

On May 17, 1971, “Apple” label released “Ram”, the second Paul McCartney studio album. It was recorded October 1970 – March 1971, at “Columbia Recording Studio” in New York, and was produced by Linda McCartney and Paul McCartney. “Ram” is the only album credited to Linda and Paul together.

The Doors - LA Woman

On April 19, 1971, “Elektra” label released “L.A. Woman”, the sixth Doors studio album.  It was recorded December 1970 – January 1971, at “The Doors Workshop” in Los Angeles, and was produced by Bruce Botnick, Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger and John Densmore. This was band’s last album to feature Jim Morrison, who died three months after the album’s release. In 2012, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “L.A. Woman” at number 364 on its list of “The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.
