On March 9, 2018, “Todo Mundo” and “Nonesuch” labels released “American Utopia”, the tenth David Byrne studio album. It was recorded in 2017 at “DB Spare Bedroom”, “Reservoir Studios”, “Oscilloscope”, “XL Studios” and “Crowdspacer Studio” in New York City, “Livingston Studio” in London, and was produced by David Byrne, Pat Dillett, Brian Eno and Rodaidh McDonald.

The album was certified Platinum in France by “SNEP”, and Platinum in Italy by “FIMI”.

It was recorded in 2013, at “Downtown Studios” in New York City; “Echo Park Back House”, “Vox Studios” in Los Angeles; “Slow Death Studios” in Burbank, and was produced by Rostam Batmanglij. “Modern Vampires of the City” was ranked at number 1 on “Rolling Stone’s” list of the “50 Best Albums of 2013”, and at number one of “Pop Matter’s” list of “The 75 Best Albums of 2013”.
