On January 28, 2003, “Nonesuch” label released “Mambo Sinuendo”, album by Manuel Galbán and Ry Cooder. It was recorded in 2002, and was produced by Ry Cooder. In 2004, it won the Grammy Award for “Best Pop Instrumental Album”.

On November 19, 2002, “Nonesuch” label released “Travelogue”, the 18th Joni Mitchell studio album. It was recorded in 2002, and was produced by Joni Mitchell and Larry Klein. The album features orchestral recordings of songs from throughout her career. The composer of the orchestral arrangements Vince Mendoza, won a 2004 “Grammy Award” for “Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist” for the arrangement of the track “Woodstock”.

Schmit, Steuart Smith, Richard F.W. Davis, Scott Crago and Bill Szymczyk. In 2009, the album won “Grammy Award” for “Best Pop Instrumental Performance”. On April 24, 2016, Paul Williams aka Billy Paul died aged 81. He was singer and song writer, associated with the Philadelphia soul sound, best known for his 1972 “Grammy Awarded” #1 single, “Me and Mrs. Jones”, and the albums “360 Degrees of Billy Paul” (1972) and  “War of Gods” (1973).

Levon Helm

On April 19, 2012, Mark Lavon “Levon” Helm died aged 71. He was singer, multi – instrumentalist and actor, best known as drummer and vocalists for The Band. He sang on Band classics including The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down, Up on Cripple Creek, Rag Mama Rag, and The Weight. In February 2008, his album “Dirt Farmer” won “Grammy Award for Best Traditional Folk Album”, and in November same year, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked Helm at number 91 on its list of “100 Greatest Singers of All Time”.

Joe Cocker

On December 22, 2014, John Robert “Joe” Cocker, died aged 70. He was musician (harmonica, piano) and singer with unique gritty voice and stage movements. He gained world popularity with his performance of the Beatles song “With a Little Help from My Friends” at  “Woodstock”  and “Isle of Wight” festivals in 1969. Cocker has received several awards, including a 1983 “Grammy Award” for his song “Up Where We Belong”;  2007 a bronze “Sheffield Legends” plaque in his hometown and in 2008 “OBE” at Buckingham Palace for services to music. Magazine “Rolling Stone” ranked him at number 97 on its list of the “100 Greatest Singers”.

In August 1976, “Asylum” label released “Hasten Down the Wind”, the seventh Linda Ronstadt  studio album. It was recorded May – July 1976, at “The Sound Factory” in Los Angeles, and was produced by Peter Asher. In 1977, the album won “Grammy Award” for “Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female”. The album was certified Platinum in US by the “RIIA”.
