The album was ranked at number 8 on “The Guardian’s” list of “Best albums of 2010”. In 2011, Marling won the “Best British solo artist” at the “Brit Awards” for “I Speak Because I Can”. In 2013, magazine “NME” ranked the album at number 263 in its list of the “500 greatest albums of all time.
