Dire Straits: Love Over Gold

On September 20, 1982, “Vertigo” label released “Love over Gold”, the fourth Dire Straits studio album. It was recorded March – June 1982, at “Power Station” in New York City, and was produced by Mark Knopfler. The album was certified 2 x Platinum in Canada by “CRIA”; Platinum in France by “SNEP”; 2 x Platinum in UK by “BPI”; Platinum in Germany by “IFPI”.

David Bowie: Let’s Dance

On April 14, 1983, “EMI” label released “Let’s Dance”, the eighteen David Bowie studio album. It was recorded at “Power Station” in New York, and was produced by Nile Rodgers and David Bowie.  With sale of more than 11 million copies, “Let’s Dance” became Bowie’s best sold album ever.  In 2013, “NME” magazine ranked the album at number 296 in its list of “The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.

It was recorded March 1979  – August 1980, at the “Power Station” in New York City, and was produced by Jon Landau, Bruce Springsteen and Steven Van Zandt.  “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “The River” at number 253 on its list of “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.
