Pink Floyd: The Final Cut

Final Cut

On March 21, 1983, “Harvest” label released “The Final Cut”, the twelfth Pink Floyd studio album. It was recorded July – December 1982, at “Mayfair Studios”, “RAK Studios”,”Olympic Studios”, “Abbey Road Studios”, “Eel Pie Studios”, “Audio International Studios” and “The Billiard Room” in London, and “Hookend Manor” in  Oxfordshire, and was produced by Roger Waters, James Guthrie and Michael Kamen. “The Final Cut” was band’s last studio album to include Roger Waters, and also the only Pink Floyd album that does not feature keyboardist Richard Wright. In 1997, the album was certified 2 x Platinum in US by “RIAA”.

On March 13, 1995, “Parlaphone” label released “The Bends”, the second Radiohead studio album. It was recorded August – November 1994, at “Abbey Road Studios”, “RAK Studios” in London and “The Manor” in Oxfordshire, and was produced by John Leckie.”The Bends” was certified 3 x Platinum in UK by “BPI” and in Canada by “Music Canada”, and Platinum in US by “RIIA”.

On February 22, 1993, “Parlaphone” label released “Pablo Honey”, the debut “Radiohead” studio album. It was recorded September – November 1992, at “Chipping Norton Recording Studios” and “Courtyard Studios” in Oxfordshire, and was produced by Sean Slade and Paul Q. Kolderie.

On February 20, 1979, “Dark Horse” label released the self-titled, eight George Harrison studio album.  It was recorded March – November 1978, at “FPSHOT” in Oxfordshire, and was produced by Russ Titelman and George Harrison. The album included  “Blow Away” and “Not Guilty”, songs  that Harrison originally recorded in 1968 for the Beatles’ “White Album”.

On August 30, 1983, “Virgin” label released “Mummer”, the sixth XTC album. It was recorded September–December 1982 at “The Manor”, Oxfordshire, and “Genetic Studios”, Berkshire, and was produced by Steve Nye, Andy Partridge, Colin Moulding, Dave Gregory, Terry Chambers and Bob Sargeant. This was Terry Chambers last album with XTC, he quit the band during the recording sessions.
