On October 19, 2025, Anthony Claiborne Jackson died aged 73. He was musician (electric bass, contrabass, guitar), bassist, regarded as “one of the masters of the instrument”. In September 1986, “Warner Bros” label released “Tutu”, album by Miles Davis. It was recorded February – March 1985, at “Capitol Studios” in Los Angeles, “Clinton Recording” in New York, “Le Gonks” in Hollywood, and was produced by Tommy LiPuma and Marcus Miller. In 1986, Miles Davis received the “Best Jazz Instrumental Performance, Soloist Grammy Award” for the performance on this album.
