On October 9, 2009, “ECM” label released “Dark Eyes”, the fourth Tomasz Stanko Quintet studio album. It was recorded in April 2009, at “Studios La Buissonne” in Pernes-les-Fontaines, France, and was produced by Manfred Eicher.

On January 3, 2016, Hyman Paul Bley died aged 83. He was pianist best known as one of the most important figures of the free jazz movement of the 60s and for his innovations and influence on trio playing.
