It was the band’s final studio album before their initial break-up in 1991. “Ritual de lo habitual” was certified 2 x Platinum in the U.S by the “RIIA”.

It was recorded December 1965 – March 1966 at “RCA Victor’s Music Center of the World” in Hollywood, and was produced by Tommy Oliver and Matthew Katz. Signe Toly Anderson and Skip Spence left the group shortly after the album’s release and were replaced by Grace Slick  and  Spencer Dryden.

It was recorded February – April 1974, at “Arrow Ranch” in Woodside, California, and “Sunset Sound Recorders” in Hollywood, and was produced by Neil Young, David Briggs, Mark Harman and Al Schmitt. “On the Beach” was ranked at number 40 in Bob Mersereau’s book “The Top 100 Canadian Albums”.
