Mark Volman

On September 5, 2025, Mark Randall Volman died aged 78. He was musician (guitar, tambourine, keyboards), vocalist and songwriter. He was member of the duo Flo & Eddie (under pseudonym Flo, short for The Phlorescent Leech), member of The Mothers of Invention, but best known as a founding member of the band Turtles (The).

Paul Kantner: Planet Earth Rock And Roll Orchestra

In August 1983, “RCA” label released “Planet Earth Rock and Roll Orchestra”, the fourth and final Paul Kantner album. It was recorded in 1983, at “The Automat” and “The Pen” in San Francisco, and was produced by Paul Kantner, Scott Mathews and Ron Nagle.

The Bottom Line

Bottom Line Club

On February 12, 1974, “The Bottom Line” club opened in New York City. Owned by Allan Pepper and Stanley Snadowsky, during the 70’s and 80’s, the club was a major space for small-scale music performances. The club stoped working in 2004.
