Bernard Edwards

On April 18, 1996, Bernard Edwards died aged 43. He was musician (bass), singer, songwriter and record producer, co-founder of the band Chic. As musician and producer he worked with David Bowie, Sister Sledge, Diana Ross, Debbie Harry, Madonna, The Power Station, Duran Duran, Norma Jean Wright, Mick Jagger, Joe Cocker, Paul Simon, Sheila and B. Devotion, Nona Hendryx, Robert Palmer, Belouis Some, Air Supply, Rod Stewart, Adam Ant and James Freud. As leader Edwards released one album. In 2017, “Bass Player” magazine placed Edwards at number 53 on its list of the “Greatest Bassist of All Time”.

Duran Duran: All You Need Is Now

On December 21, 2010, “All You Need Is Now”, the 13th Duran Duran studio album was released digitally, and the physical package was released on 21 March 2011 in Europe on the “Tape Modern” label. It was recorded February – August 2010, at “Sphere Studios” in London, and was produced by Mark Ronson, Simon Le Bon, John Taylor, Roger Taylor and Nick Rhodes.

David Richards

On December 20, 2013, David Richards died aged 57. He was musician (keyboards), engineer and record producer, who engineered and co-produced albums for many artists, including David Bowie, Queen, Roger Taylor, Chris Rea, Jimmy Nail, Feargal Sharkey, Iggy Pop, Magnum, Virginia Wolf, The Cross, Freddie Mercury, Montserrat Caballé, Yes, Brian May and Duran Duran.

On November 21, 1983, “EMI” label released “Seven and the Ragged Tiger”, the third Duran Duran studio album. It was recorded May – June 1983, at “Air Studios” in Montserrat, and was produced by Alex Sadkin, Ian Little, Nick Rhodes, Simon Le Bon, John Taylor, Roger Taylor and Andy Taylor.

On June 15, 1981, “EMI” label released the self-titled, debut Duran Duran studio album. It was recorded in December 1980, at “Red Bus Studios”, “Abbey Road Studios”, “Utopia Studio” and “Chipping Norton Recording Studios”, and was produced by Colin Thurston. In December 1982, the album was certified Platinum in UK by the “BPI”, and Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”.
