Jon Christensen

On February 18, 2020, Jon Ivar Christensen died aged 76. He was musician (drums) and composer, one of the most respected European Jazz drummers. He has recorded with artists such as Keith Jarrett, Jan Garbarek, Enrico Rava, Palle Danielsson, John Abercrombie, Michael Mantler, Miroslav Vitous, Terje Rypdal, Bobo Stenson, Eberhard Weber, Ralph Towner, Barre Phillips, Arild Andersen, Rainer Brüninghaus, Charles Lloyd, Dino Saluzzi, George Russell, John Clark, David Friedman, David Darling, Steve Kuhn, Lee Konitz, Pony Poindexter, Phil Woods, Leo Wright, Yelena Eckemoff and Tomasz Stanko.

Mickey Finn

On January 11, 2003, Michael Norman Finn aka Mickey Finn died aged 55. He was musician (vocals, bongos, congas, drums, bass), performed with Hapshash and the Coloured Coat, The Blow Monkeys and The Soup Dragon, best known as the percussionist and sideman to Marc Bolan in Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Albert King

On December 21, 1992, Albert Nelson aka Albert King died aged 69. He was musician (guitar, drums) and singer, one of the most influential blues guitarists, one of the “Three Kings of the Blues Guitar” (along with B.B. King and Freddie King). Because of his smooth singing and his large size, he was given the nick name “The Velvet Bulldozer”. In 2013, he was posthumously inducted in the “Rock and Roll of Fame”. King has recorded sixteen studio albums.

The Tubes: Outside Inside

In March 1983, “Capitol” label released “Outside Inside” the sixth Tubes (The) studio album. It was recorded in 1982, and was produced by David Foster, Prairie Prince and Stacy Baird.

Jaki Liebezeit

On January 22, 2017, Jaki Liebezeit died aged 78. He was musician (drums, percussion, double bass, saxophone, piano), best known as co-founder and drummer of the band Can. Liebezeit recorded and performed with many musician and bands including Manfred Schoof, Brian Eno,  Phantomband, Jah Wobble, Phew, Philip Jeck, Depeche Mode,Eurythmics,  Cyclopean and Bernd Friedmann.
