On January 11, 2003, Michael Norman Finn aka Mickey Finn died aged 55. He was musician (vocals, bongos, congas, drums, bass), performed with Hapshash and the Coloured Coat, The Blow Monkeys and The Soup Dragon, best known as the percussionist and sideman to Marc Bolan in Tyrannosaurus Rex.
On December 25, 2009, Robert Anthony Bellamy aka Tony “T-Bone” Bellamy died aged 63. He was musician (guitar, piano, vocals), performed with Dobie Gray, was a member of Peter and the Wolves (San Francisco band that evolved into Moby Grape), but was best known as founding member, vocalist, guitarist and pianist for Redbone.

On August 2, 1997, Olufela Olusegun Oludotun Ransome-Kuti aka Fela Kuti, died aged 58. The Nigerian born multi instrumentalist (Saxophone, vocals, keyboards, trumpet, guitar, drums), singer and composer was human right and political activist and one of the pioneers of the Afrobeat music style and one of the biggest propagators of the African music worldwide.
