On November 25, 1974, Nicholas Rodney “Nick” Drake died aged 26. He was musicians (guitar, piano, saxophone, clarinet), singer and songwriter, in his short career he released three albums. His music failed to reach wide audience during his lifetime, but it received worldwide recognition posthumously.

Genesis: The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway
On November 18, 1974, “Charisma” label released “The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway”, the sixth Genesis studio album. It was band’s last studio album with Peter Gabriel and was recorded August – October 1974, at the “Island Mobile Studios” in Wales, and was produced by John Burns, Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks, Phil Collins, Steve Hackett and Mike Rutherford. “The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway” was ranked at number 9 on the “Rolling Stone” magazine list of “50 Greatest Prog Rock Albums of All Time”. The album was deemed one of the 23 “Maddest and Most Memorable Concept Albums” by “NME”.

On September 23, 1974, Robert Broderick James ‘Robbie’ McIntosh died aged 24. He was musician (drums), in the late 60’ member of the bands The Senate and Brian Auger’s Oblivion Express, but he is best known as a founding member and drummer of The Average White Band.
