Dee Palmer

On June 13, 2026, Dee Palmer died aged 88. He was musician (keyboards), composer and arranger, best known as member of Jethro Tull (1976 – 1980). He produced several albums of orchestral arrangements of the music of various bands, including The Beatles, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Yes and Queen. As leader Palmer released one album.

Grimes: Visions

On February 21, 2012, “4AD” label released “Visions”, the third Grimes studio album. It was recorded in August 2011, at “La Brique Studio Space” in Montreal, Canada, and was produced by Grimes.

Genesis: Same

On October 3, 1983, “Charisma” and “Virgin” label released the self-titled, twelfth Genesis studio album. It was recorded in 1983, at “The Farm” in Surrey, England, and was produced by Hugh Padgham, Mike Rutherford, Phil Collins and Tony Banks.

In September 1971, “Blue Note” label released “Genesis”, the 14th Elvin Jones album. It was recorded in February 1971, at “Van Gelder Studio” in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, and was produced by Francis Wolf and George Butler.

On July 20, 1973, “Charisma” label released “Genesis Live”, the fifth Genesis album. It was recorded in February 1973, at “Free Trade Hall” in Manchester, and “De Montfort Hall” in Leicester, and was produced John Burns, Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks, Steve Hackett, Mike Rutherford and Phil Collins.

Benjamin Clementine: And I Have Been

On October 28, 2022, “Preserve Artists” label released “And I Have Been”, the third Benjamin Clementine studio album. It was recorded 2019 – 2022, at “CMG Studios” in California, “Love Electric Studios”, “Metropolis Studios”, “RAK Studios” in London, and was produced by Benjamin Clementine.

Frederick Nathaniel “Toots” Hibbert

On September 11, 2020, Frederick Nathaniel “Toots” Hibbert, died aged 77. He was musician (guitar, Hammond organ), singer and songwriter, regarded as reggae pioneer, with six decades long career. He had major influence on popularizing reggae music with songs like “Monkey Man”, “Funky Kingston” and “Pressure Drop”. Even the genre’s name is credited as genesis from his 1968’s song “Do the Reggay”. With his band Toots and the Maytals, he won “Grammy Award” in 2006, for his album “True Love”.

Storm Thorgerson

On April 18, 2013, Storm Thorgerson died aged 69. He was graphic designer and music video director, known for his work with music artists including Led Zeppelin,  Nik Kershaw, Black Sabbath,  Scorpions, Peter Gabriel, Genesis, Yes, Al Stewart,  Europe,  Catherine Wheel, Bruce Dickinson, Dream Theater,  Anthrax, The Cranberries, The Mars Volta, Muse, The Alan Parsons Project, Helloween, Biffy Clyro, Ween, Angels and Airwaves and Rival Sons His best known work is the album cover artwork of  Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side of The Moon”.

 

 

Tangerine Dream: Electronic Meditation

In June 1970, “Ohr” label released “Electronic Meditation”, the debut Tangerine Dream album. It was recorded in 1970, and was produced by Edgar Froese, Klaus Schulze and Conrad Schnitzler.

On September 14, 1981, “Charisma” label released “Abacab”, the eleventh Genesis studio album. It was recorded May–June 1981, at “The Farm” in Surrey, and was produced by Tony Banks, Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford. The album was certified 2 x Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”.
