On July 6, 1971, “Capricorn” label released “At Fillmore East”, the third Allman Brothers Band (The) album. It was recorded in March 1971, at “Filmore East” in New York City, and was produced by Tom Dowd.

On April 18, 2024, Forrest Richard Betts aka Dickie Betts died aged 80. He was musician (guitar), singer and songwriter, member of the bands Dickey Betts & Great Southern, Betts, Hall, Leavell and Trucks, but was best known as founding member, guitarist and singer of The Allman Brothers Band.

On October 29, 1971, Howard Duane Allman died aged 24. He was singer, musician (guitar, slide guitar, dobro), recorded and performed with The Hour Glass, Allman Joys, Derek and the Dominos, Wilson Pickett, Johnny Jenkins, Aretha Franklin, Herbie Mann, Boz Scaggs, Delaney & Bonnie, and Eric Clapton, but was best known as founder, guitarist, and leader of The Allman Brothers Band.

On January 24, 2017, Claude Hudson “Butch” Trucks died aged 69. He was musician (drums), worked with The 31st of February, Les Brers, Butch Trucks & the Freight Train Band and Frogwings, but was best known as founding member and drummer of The Allman Brothers Band.

In August 1975, “Capricorn” label released “Win, Lose or Draw”, the fifth Allman Brothers Band (The) studio album. It was recorded February – July 1975, at “Capricorn Sound Studios” in Macon, and “The Record Plant” in Los Angeles, and was produced by Johnny Sandlin, Gregg Allman, Richard Betts, Jaimoe, Chuck Leavell, Butch Trucks and Lamar Williams. The cover art was by Twiggs Lyndon.

On May 27, 2017, Gregory LeNoir “Gregg” Allman died aged 69. He was musician (guitar, keyboards), singer and songwriter, best known as member of The Allman Brothers Band.  He released seven studio and two live albums, and was inducted into the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” and “Georgia Music Hall of Fame”. “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked him at number 70 on its list of the “100 Greatest Singers of All Time”.

On March 24, 2010, James Joseph Marshall died aged 74. He was  photographer, best known for his photographs of rock musicians, including The Beatles (final paid live concert in San Francisco’s Candlestick Park), Led Zeppelin, Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Neil Young, Janis Joplin, Bob Dylan, Jim Morrison, The Allman Brothers Band, The Who, Guns N’ Roses and Santana. He was also the chief photographer at Woodstock.
