Emotional Rescue

On June 20, 1980, “Rolling Stones” label released “Emotional Rescue”, the fifteen Rolling Stones studio album. It was recorded in 1979, at “Compass Point Studios” in Nassau, Bahamas, “Pathé Marconi” in Paris, and was produced by The Glimmer Twins. The album was certified  2 x Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”.

Nirvana-Bleach

On June 16, 1989, “Sub Pop” label released “Bleach”, the debut Nirvana studio album. It was recorded January 1988 – January 1989 at “Reciprocal Recording” in Seattle, Washington, and was produced by Jack Endino. “Bleach” has been certified Platinum in the UK by the “BPI” and Platinum in the US in 1995, by the “RIIA”. It is the best selling “Sub Pop” release so far.

On June 6, 2005, “Parlaphone” label released “X&Y”, the the third Coldplay studio album. It was recorded January 2004 – January 2005, at “Air Lyndhurst Hall”, “Parr Street Studios”, “Sarm West Studios”, “The Town House”, “The Hit Factory”,  and was produced by Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, Will Champion , Ken Nelson and Danton Supple. The album’s cover art is a combination of colours and blocks, a representation of the Baudot code. “X&Y” was the best-selling album released in 2005 worldwide. Let It Be

On May 8, 1970, “Apple” label released “Let It Be”, the twelve and final Beatles (The) studio album. It was recorded February 1968, January–February 1969, January; March–April 1970, at “Abbey Road Studios” and “Apple Studios” and “Twickenham Film Studios” in London, and was produced by Phil Spector and George Martin. The album was released at the same time with a motion picture of the same name. In 2012, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “Let it Be” at number 392 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. The album was certified Platinum in Australia by the “ARIA”, 3 x Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada” and 4 x Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”.

It was composed at a cottage in Wells, known as “Bron-Yr-Aur”, and was recorded  December 1969; January – August 1970, at “Rolling Stones Mobile Studio”, in Headley Grange, Hampshire; “Island Studios”, “Olympic Studios” in London,  and was produced by Jimmy Page.  The album was certified Platinum in Argentina by “CAPIF”; 3 x Platinum in Australia by “ARIA”; 3 x Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada”; Platinum in France by “SNEP”; Platinum in UK by “BPI, and 6 x Platinum in the US by “RIIA”.

Wish You Were Here

On September 12, 1975, “Harvest” label released “Wish You Were Here”, the ninth Pink Floyd studio album. It was recorded January–July 1975, at the “Abbey Road Studios” in London and was produced by David Gilmour, Roger Waters and Nick Mason. The album features composition “Shine on you crazy diamond”, a tribute to Syd Barrett, who left the band seven years earlier due to a mental illness. In 2012, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked the album at number 211 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. The album was certified 7 x Platinum in Australia by “ARIA”; 2 x Platinum in Austria by “IFPI Austria”; 3 x Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada”; Diamond in France by “SNEP”; Platinum in Germany by “BVMI”; 2 x Platinum in UK by “BPI”, and 6 x Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”.
