In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida

On June 14, 1968, “Atco” label released “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida”, the second Iron Butterfly studio album. It was recorded in 1968, at “Gold Star Studios” in Hollywood, and in “Ultra Sonic Studios” in New York, and was produced by Don Casale. “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida” was certified 4 x Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”, and was the best selling album of the year 1969.

On June 13, 1979, “Asylum” label released “Mingus”, the tenth Joni Mitchell studio album. The album was recorded in 1978 – 1979, and was finalized few months before Charles Mingus death, and was his last music project. “Mingus” was recorded at “A&M Studios” in Hollywood and “Electric Lady Studios” in New York, and was produced by Joni Mitchell. Album artwork features Joni Mitchell paintings of Mingus.

It was recorded October 1977 – March 1978, at “Record Plant Studios” in New York, and was produced by Bruce Springsteen, Jon Landau, and Steven Van Zandt. In 2003, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “Darkness on the Edge of Town” at number 151 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of all Time”. The album was certified 3 x Platinum in the US by the “RIIA’.

It was recorded October 5, 1965; November 30, 1965; and January 25, 1966, at “Studio A, Columbia Recording Studios” in New York; February 14–17 and March 8–10, 1966, at “Columbia Studio B” in Nashville, Tennessee, and was produced by Bob Johnston. “Blonde on Blonde” completed Dylan’s trilogy of albums that he recorded in 1965 and 1966 (Bringing It All Back Home and Highway 61 Revisited).  In 1974, “NME” magazine ranked “Blonde on Blonde” at number 2 on its list of “The Greatest Albums of All Time”. “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked the album at number 9 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.
