Super Furry Animals: Dark Days/Light Years

On March 16, 2009, Super Furry Animals digitally released “Dark Days/Light Years”, the ninth and final band’s studio album. It was recorded 2007 – 2009, at “Faster Recording Studio” in Cardiff, Wales, and was produced by Chris Shaw, Gruff Rhys, Huw Bunford, Guto Pryce, Dafudd Leuan and Cian Ciaran.

Dick Dale

On March 16, 2019, Richard Anthony Monsour aka Dick Dale died aged 81. He was musician (guitar), pioneer of surf music, known as “The King of the Surf Guitar”. As product of his work with the manufacturer  Fender, was the first-ever 100-watt guitar amplifier. He was the founding member and leader of the band Dick Dale & his Del-Tones.

Brad Mehldau: Highway Rider

On March 16, 2010, “Nonesuch” label released “Highway Rider”, the 26th Brad Mehldau album. It was recorded February – May 2009, at “Ocean Way Studios” in Hollywood, and was produced by Jon Brion.

It was recorded 1977–1978 at “Sound City Studios, Los Angeles, CA, vocals recorded at “Record Plant Studios” in Los Angeles, and “Paragon Recording Studios” in Chicago, and was produced by Kevin Cronin, Gary Richrath, Paul Grupp and John Boylan.
