Little Feat: Down on the Farm

On November 14, 1979, “Warner Bros” label released “Down on the Farm”, the seventh Little Feat studio album. The album was completed and released shortly after the death of the band’s founder and leader, Lowell George. It was recorded in 1979, at “Wally Heider Studios” in Los Angeles, and Lowell George’s house in Topanga Canyon, The Paramount Ranch, Agoura Hills, and was produced by Lowell George.

On June 18, 1976, “Riva” label released “A Night on the Town”, the seventh Rod Stewart album. It was recorded December 1975 – April 1976, at “Cherokee Recording Studios” in Hollywood, “Muscle Shoals Sound” in Sheffield, “Criteria” in  Miami” in Nederland, CO, and was produced by Tom Dowd. The cover art is based on Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s painting “Bal du moulin de la Galette”.

In July 1979, “Warner Bros” label released “Bop till You Drop”, the eight Ry Cooder album. It was recorded in 1978, at “Warner Brothers Recording Studios” in Hollywood, and was produced by Ry Cooder. It was the first digitally recorded major-label album in popular music, recorded on a digital 32-track machine built by 3M.
