On October 12, 1999, “Volcano Entertainment” label released “In Reverse”, the seventh Matthew Sweet album. It was recorded May – June 1999, and was produced by Matthew Sweet, Greg Leisz, Fred Maher and Jim Scott. The album cover features artists Margaret Keane painting.

On September 1, 1978, “Epic” label released the self-titled, debut Molly Hatchet  album. It was recorded in 1978, at “The Sound Pit” in Atlanta, Georgia, and was produced by Tom Werman and Pat Armstrong. The album cover is a painting by Frank Frazetta entitled “The Death Dealer”. In 1980, the album was certified Platinum in US by the “RIIA”.

On June 3, 2008, “Bella Union” label released the debut, self-titled Fleet Foxes  album. It was recorded in 2007, and was produced by Phil Ek. The cover art is a detail of the 1559 painting “Netherlandish Proverbs” by Pieter Bruegel the Elder. “Times” ranked the album at number 1 on its list of the “100 Best Albums of the Year”; “Mojjo” magazine ranked it and number 1 on its list of the “Top 50 Albums of 2008”. The album was certified Platinum in UK by the “BPI”.

Appetite for Destruction

On July 21, 1987, “Geffen” label released “Appetite for Destruction”, the debut Guns N’ Roses studio album. It was recorded March – April 1987, at “Rumbo Studios”;  “Canoga Park”; “Take One Studio”; “The Record Plant”,and “Can Am Studio” in California, and was produced by Mike Clink. The album’s originally planned cover art was based on Robert Williams’ painting “Appetite for Destruction”. In 1989, “Rolling Stone” ranked “Appetite for Destruction” at number 62 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”; in 2003, “VH1”music channel ranked “Appetite for Destruction”  the 42nd “Greatest Album of All Time”; in 2006,  “Kerrang!” magazine ranked the album at number one on its list of “Best Rock Albums”. The album was huge commercial successes; with sale of more than 30 million copies worldwide, it is one of the best-selling records ever.
