On November 28, 2006, “Epic” label released “Light Grenades”, the sixth Incubus studio album. It was recorded January – July 2006, at “Henson Recording Studios” in Hollywood, and at “Southern Tracks Recording” in Atlanta, Georgia, and was produced by Brendan O’Brien.

J. J. Cale & Eric Clapton: The Road To Escondido

On November 7, 2006, “Duck” label released “The Road to Escondido”, album by J.J. Cale, Eric Clapton and Simon Climie. It was recorded in August 2005, and was produced by J.J. Cale and Eric Clapton. The album features the final Billy Preston recordings, to whom the “The Road to Escondido” Is dedicated. In 2008, the album won “Grammy Award” for “Best Contemporary Blues Album”. “The Road to Escondido” was certified Platinum in Denmark by “IFPI Denmark”; Platinum in Germany by “BVMI”; 2 x Platinum in Greece by “IFPI Greece”, and 2 x Platinum in New Zealand by “RMNZ”.

On October 23, 2000, “Island” label released “Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea”, the fifth PJ Harvey studio album. It was recorded March–April 2000, at “Great Linford Manor” in Milton Keynes, UK, and was produced by Rob Ellis, Mick Harvey and PJ Harvey. “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked the album at number 8 on its list of “The 50 Essential “Women in Rock” Albums”. In 2002, “Q” magazine named “Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea” the “Greatest Album of All-Time by a Female Artist”.In 2006, “Time” magazine choose the album as one of the “100 Best Albums of All Time”. The album was certified Platinum in Australia by “ARIA”, and Platinum in UK by “BPI”.

It was recorded January 1999 – April 2000, and was produced by Nigel Godrich , Colin Greenwood, Johnny Greenwood, ed O’Brien, Phil Selway, and Thom Yorke. In 2006 “NME” magazine ranked the album at number 65 on its list of “The 100 Greatest British Albums Ever”. On September 23, 1991, “Creation Records” label released “Screamadelica”, the third Primal Scream studio album. It was recorded 1990 – 1991, and was produced by The Orb, Hypnotone, Andrew Weatherall, Hugo Nicolson and Jimmy Miller. In 1991, “Melody Maker” and “Select” magazines named “Screamadelica” “Album of the Year”; the album won the first “Mercury Music Prize” in 1992; in 2003,  “NME” magazine placed it at no. 23 in its list of the “100 Best Albums Ever”, and in  2006, the magazine placed it at number 15 in its list of the “Greatest British Albums Ever”; in 2000, “Q” magazine placed “Screamadelica” at number 18 on its list of the “100 Greatest British Albums, and in 2001, the magazine placed it at number 81 on its list of the “Top 100 Albums of All Time”.

On September 18, 1970, “Vertigo” label released “Paranoid”, the second Black Sabbath studio album. It was recorded in June 1970, at “Regent Sound Studios” and “Island Studios” in London, and was produced by Rodger Bain. In 1989, Kerrang! magazine listed the album at number 39 on its list of the “100 Greatest Heavy Metal Albums of All Time”. In 2003, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked the album at number 130 on its list of “The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. In 2006, “Guitar World” magazine ranked “Paranoid” at number 6 on its list of “The Greatest 100 Guitar Albums of All Time. The album was certified Platinum in Canada by CRIA, and Platinum in the US by the “RIIA:.

On September 15, 2008, Richard William “Rick” Wright died aged 65. He  was musician (keyboards), composer, singer and songwriter, best known as founding member, keyboardist and vocalist of Pink Floyd. He recorded and performed on all Pink Floyd’s albums except on “The Final Cut”.
