Metallica: Reload

On November 18, 1997, “Vertigo” and “Elektra” labels released “Reload”, the seventh Metallica studio album. It was recorded May – October 1997, at “The Plant Studios” in Sausalito, California, and was produced by James Hetfield, Bob Rock and Lars Ulrich. The album was certified Platinum in Australia by “ARIA”, 2 x Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada”, Platinum in Finland by “Musiikkituottajat”, Platinum in Germany by “BVMI”, Platinum in Poland by “ZPAV”, Platinum in Sweden by “GLF”, and 3 x Platinum in US by “RIAA”.

On November 4, 1997, “S3” and “Rykodisc” labels released “Tracks and Traces”, the only Harmonia ’76 album. It was recorded September 1976 at “Harmonia Studio” in Forst, and was produced by Brian Eno, Hans-Joachim Roedelius, Michael Rother and Dieter Moebius.

On January 5, 1999, “Griffin Music” label released “Hawkwind in Your Area”, the twenty-second Hawkwind album. Album had two sides, studio and live one. The studio side was recorded in 1998, at “Earth Studios”, and the live one was recorded in November 1997, at “Ancienne Belgique”,in  Brussels, Belgium, and was produced by  Dave Brock, Jerry Richards, Ron Tree and Richard Chadwick.

Derek Taylor

On September 8, 1997, Derek Taylor died aged 65. He was journalist, writer, publicist and music producer, best known as publicist for the Beatles. He has also worked as press officer for The Byrds, The Beach Boys and the Mamas and the Papas. In 1967 he helped organization of the “Monterey Pop Festival” together with Lou Adler and John Philips.

INXS: Welcome To Wherever You Are

On August 3, 1992, “Atlantic” label released “Welcome to Wherever You Are”, the eighth INXS album. It was recorded 1991–1992, at “Rhinoceros Recordings” in Sydney, and was produced by Mark Opitz, Michael Hutchence, Kirk Pengilly, Garry Gary Beers, Andrew Farriss, Jon Farriss and Tim Farriss. In 1997, the album was certified Platinum in US by the “RIIA”.
