The Blue Nile: High

On August 30, 2004, “Sanctuary” label released “High”, the fourth Blue Nile studio album. It was recorded in 1997 – 2004, in Glasgow, Scotland, and was produced by Robert Bell, Paul Buchanan, and Paul Joseph Moore.

Luther Allison

On August 12, 1997, Luther Allison died aged 57. He was musician (guitar), worked with Howlin’ Wolf, Freddie King, Jimmy Dawkins, James Cotton, Magic Sam, and Otis Rush. In 1998, Allison was posthumously inducted into the “Blues Hall of Fame”. He released 27 albums (5 released posthumously).

wallace Roney: Village

On August 12, 1997, “Warner Bros” label released “Village”, the eleventh Wallace Roney album. It was recorded in December 1996, at “Sear Sound” in New York City, and was produced by Lenny White, Matt Pierson, and Wallace Roney.

Sacha Distel

On July 22, 2004, Alexandre “Sacha” Distel died aged 71. He was musician (guitar), singer and actor, during his career worked with Dizzy Gillespie, Tony Bennett, Kenny Clarke, Jimmy Gourley, Lionel Hampton, Slide Hampton, Bobby Jaspar, Barney Kessel, John Lewis, Pierre Michelot, Bernard Peiffer, Henri Renaud, Fats Sadi, Art Simmons, Martial Solal, René Urtreger, and Barney Wilen.  In 1997, Distel was made “Chevalier (Knight) of the Légion d’honneur”.
